An empowering female figure within the modeling industry, Evelyn Garuti consistently defies the odds. Evelyn embrace uniqueness and individuality where everyone has the right for fashion, as she supports the hashtag #AMfashionculture, a campaign for inclusion and deserving talent to be seen and recognized.
The positive representation inspired the likes of Oprah Winfrey and Lupita Nyong’o. “Now, I had a spring in my step because I felt more seen, more appreciated by the far-away gatekeepers of beauty,” Evelyn remarked regarding her existence in fashion industry and her modelling career. Here Evylyn has to say:

This is me, dreamer, spontaneous, passionate, sensitive and always with some reason to smile. I like to exercise, to go skateboarding, animals, modeling, all kinds of music and many other things. I am multifaceted and everything I undertake I devote all my effort. I consider humility, attitude and perseverance as the secret to success.

I come from a family of separated parents. My father used violence against my family, including me. My mother could not continue exposing our lives and separated, there began a life of many struggles for her, my brothers and for me; but with the tranquility of a life without violence. I took stylist courses and discovered that my talent is modeling. I did not have money to study the modeling career but I tried hard and with the help of my boyfriend, I managed to raise the money. I studied modeling in the Hight model manager academy, directed by Diego Chain. I’ve been modeling for 4 months now. I have all my attitude, perseverance and passion focused on this work and dream.
I have photographs taken by Miguel Ángel Rosales, a renowned and prestigious professional photographer, of incomparable talent. My best photos have been taken by him. I also have photos by other photographers but of a lesser nature.”
